New Development in Irish Wheelchair Rugby!
Thanks to the joint efforts of the Gaelic Warriors, IWA Sport and Cork City Sports Partnership, rugby is beginning in Cork. Following a demo that was held in Cork in July 2008, the rebel county is starting it's own club in the Ursalines Secondary School, Blackrock every Monday from 7pm to 9pm.

Cork Rugby Demo
Munster

Munster Rugby continue to support the development of Wheelchair Rugby. Munster players Denis Hurley and Donnacha Ryan called in to our demo day and were willing to hop into a chair and give it a go. Thanks guys for taking time out of your own busy training.

Ulster Bank continue to be of great support to us. Due to their help we have a number of new players partaking in the sport and we continue to travell the length and breadth of our green isle, holding 'come and try' days so that even more players might see how much fun this sport can be.

Team and Trailer

The Bernd Best was a very good tournament for us this year. Playing in the Professional League for the second year in a row, we finished 5th out of 12 teams. We finished 5th last year also, however, there were only 8 teams in the divison then and a number of teams were not as strong as they were last year. We were unlucky to miss out on a top four place when we lost by only one goal to the eventual 3rd placed team, Crashing Dream Team (NEL).

10 good reasons why YOU should join us and become a WARRIOR!!!
