 Wheelchair rugby is a team sport for male and female quadriplegics. It is a unique sport that combines elements of basketball, rugby and ice hockey. Teams are made up of 4 players and up to 8 substitutes. Each player is classified according to their functional ability and are assigned a classification from 0.5 - 3.5 points. The 4 players on the court cannot exceed 8.0 points. The object of the game is to carry the ball across the opposing team's goal line.
